Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
This policy explains how Sustainable Transport Advisory (ABN 75 657 423 222) handles personal information on emissionstracker.com.au. We have written it to describe what this website actually does, rather than every practice we might one day adopt.
What this policy covers
It covers this marketing website, emissionstracker.com.au. You can browse it without creating an account, and there is no form, login or payment on it.
Our three products run on separate subdomains — Emissions Tracker Platform, Waste Metrics Pro and Marine Surveyor Pro. They hold customer data and each publishes its own privacy policy, which governs your use of that product. This page does not describe them.
What we collect
We collect very little here, and none of it identifies you by name.
- Advertising click information. If you reach this site by clicking one of our ads, the URL carries identifiers such as a Google Ads click id (
gclid) and campaign tags. We store these in a cookie so we can tell which advertising led to an enquiry. - Technical request data. Our web servers log the usual details of each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. This is ordinary server logging, used to keep the site available and secure.
- Your display preference. Whether you chose light or dark mode is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
- Anything you email us. If you contact us at [email protected], we receive whatever you put in that email.
Advertising and attribution
We advertise on Google. When an advertisement brings you here, we record the click identifier so that if you later become a customer we can tell which campaign was responsible. This lets us stop paying for advertising that does not work.
We use this to measure campaigns in aggregate. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or to make decisions about you individually.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement to understand which pages are useful and which advertising works. Where these are active they set their own cookies and send usage data to Google, acting as our service provider. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Why we may process your data
Under the Australian Privacy Act we collect only what is reasonably necessary to operate and promote our business. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how our marketing performs and in keeping the site secure — or your consent, where consent is required for the cookie concerned.
How long we keep it
The advertising cookie expires after 90 days. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then rotated and deleted. Email you send us is kept for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, sits behind a content delivery network that filters malicious traffic, and administrative access to our servers is restricted. No website can promise perfect security, but this site holds no account, password or payment data.
Your rights and choices
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time, and within 30 days where the law sets that deadline.
You can also clear the cookies this site has set at any time from your browser, which removes the advertising identifier described above.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or to your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Our products are sold to businesses. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and will revise the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the site rather than applied quietly.
